Course Overview
Hi everyone!
This is the Week 1 folder. Each week of our class, there will be a main Week X folder like this available in Course Materials, where X is the number of the day for the class.
This folder will usually include a short summary of what we’ve done in class that day, plus PDF copies of handouts you received in class.
Hopefully you were in class during Week 1. This week, we’re starting simple and light.
Day 1
For class on Day 1, I’ll discuss the syllabus with you, and answer any questions you have about it.
Day 2
For class on Day 2, I’m going to survey you about your interests in science fiction media and literature, to see what the class consensus is.

That leaves us some breathing room before we get started more seriously in Week 2.
- Day 1: We discussed the syllabus and course outline.
- Day 2: You wrote a sample paragraph for me.
That’s it for Week 1. There’s no homework, so enjoy your week and see you in Week 2.
