For this week’s class, we’re digging into a TV SF phenomenon: the 90s hit TV show The X-Files. If you would like to preview the episode mentioned below, you can access it on Disney+, where the entire 11 seasons of the series are available. We’ll be watching the episode in class, however, so you don’t need to watch it outside of class.
Day 1
After a few words from me, we’ll watch the pilot episode of The X-Files. Don’t be late, because it’s long and we need to start as soon as possible! (If you miss it and happen to have a Disney+ account, the series is available there.)

We’ll work through the comprehension questions, and I will say a little bit about the cultural impact of The X-Files on English-speaking cultures.
Day 2
On Day 2, we’ll work through the discussion questions in small groups, and I’ll take one question from the class.
