Week 9

This week was our Midterm Exam. The exam was filmed. Here are the videos containing your Midterm Exam speeches. They’re in order of your appearance:

Below are some forms where you can enter feedback for each student. Entering feedback on the Midterm and Final Exams is worth 15% of your grade overall: 7.5% for the Midterm, and 7.5% for the Final Exam.

The links are in the order of the presentations:

2. Feedback for

3. Feedback for

4. Feedback for

The format of the form is slightly different from the rubric we used in class, but you should be able to figure out which question applies to which ranking. By the way, “Poor” is a 2 on this scale, and “Excellent” is a 5 on this scale. A ranking of 1 should be reserved for truly terrible performances, but we didn’t have any of those in class, so don’t worry about it.

I’ll be giving you a copy of my assessment form for your Midterm Exam in class next week. We’ll also discuss how to make a decent powerpoint, or at least how to avoid making a terrible one, and I’ll also explain to you why I think PowerPoints should be used only when necessary.
