For this module, we’re playing a variation of the screen-mediated roleplaying game Alice is Missing.
Here are some materials related to the Alice is Missing game. These are the materials I have used in the past, but I may update them in the case of particularly large classes, to facilitate play by more players.
Alice is Missing Character sheets:
An Alice is Missing Game Guide:
Here is a link for the Discord where we will play the game. (Link coming only in Week 12.)
Finally, here is the Alice is Missing soundtrack/timer, in case you liked any of the music.
Homework: Journaling
For your Journal for this week, choose one of the following:
- Reflect on the experience of playing Alice is Missing. What do you think about the idea of using a role-playing game to practice or use your English?
- Alternately, if you prefer, you can instead just choose a prompt from the journaling prompts list and write about it.
Remember, you only have to choose one of the two points above. Choose whatever is more interesting to you.
Looking Forward
Again, unless you’re leading a Student Led Discussion next week, there’s nothing for you to prepare.
SPOILERS: BEWARE
Here are the Alice is Missing preparation files. Do not look at them until after we’ve played the game, or you will ruin the game for yourself.
