Overview
For the Midterm Exam Period, we will not be meeting in person. My understanding is that the Midterm Exam period is Week 8.
Instead of a Midterm Exam, you will be completing a Midterm Assessment Task. This task was outlined on a handout I distributed in Weeks 6 and 7. I am including a link to the same handout below.
Your Midterm Assessment Task
The Midterm Assessment Task replaces your Midterm Exam. I explained the process in class during Week 7, and shared a handout with you.
The handout is also linked below, and it contains complete guidelines for the Task.
Please note the following:
- For Parts 1 & 2 of the Midterm Assessment Task (the parts related to Vocabulary and creating five Discussion Questions about your chosen media) you should submit written work.
- For Part 3 (in which you discuss your answer to one or two of your own Discussion Questions), you have a choice between submitting a written answer, or submitting a video.
Please note that all written work should be submitted in a single PDF document. If you are also submitting a video, it should be a single video file. Please make sure to submit both files together in the same attempt, to make it easier for me to grade your work.

You must submit the assignment using our campus’s LMS. I will post an announcement when the Assignment is available under Assignments on the LMS. The deadline will be clearly noted on that page.
Here is an example of the kind of thing I’m hoping you will submit. (My answer to the question might be too difficult to understand, but you can get the idea about how deeply I’m hoping you think about one of the questions you’ve asked. Please note that you can answer two questions if you prefer, at a bit shorter length, but what I’m looking for here is a thoughtful answer you could share during your Student Led Discussion.)
